Castle Island is operated as a state park by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. It is located at the end of Carson Beach, on Pleasure Bay in south Boston, and is also the site of Fort Independence. Surrounded by the ocean, this 22-acre recreation site provides plenty of space for kids and kids at heart to play and run, breathe in fresh air, take a tour at on the United States’ oldest military fortifications and, most importantly, spend quality time with fellow PWN, their families and friends!!
