---ADMIN, feel free to 'delete' this post...---

Can't help noticing lately, a lot of peculiar similarities, with my two kitties even though they are each very different from one another.

One is part Bengal (a loud mouth and not so respectful, always is in the sink, needy for attention) and the other is a Calico (very quiet and respectful, sleeps a lot, likes to be alone and hidden).

Always hungry, always yawning, sleeping a lot, falling asleep no problem when relaxed, not giving much of a hoot, nor taking much crap, being interested in observing and food, being content...

I know that cats do 'imitate' their owners, it's fascinating to the extent that it can be obvious...

Lol! I always envied my cats, they have the freedom to sleep without anyone really bothering them and they can just roam around and do what they please.

But I'm not sure they imitate me. I think cats are just contented creatures. I have three (had four, my beloved Gizzy who you see as a kitten in my user pic we had to put to sleep earlier this summer at the age of 12) cats. One who I call "bonsai" though his nam is Charlie, who is about 8 yew old. He is very much a loner- doesnt particularly like the other cats and frequently finds himself in fights with neighbor cats. He is very affectionate to his people though. Then we have Coco who is about 5 yrs old; I adopted her while volunteering at the animal shelter. She was born feral and has always been quite feisty. She is a huge talker and though she will meow and rub against you to pet her she can't stand being held. And then we have Sir Arthur, he is about 4 years old and I affectionately call him "cuddle bug" because he is most content when sitting in someone's lap, or perhaps on their chest. He loves to curl up next to his people and purr for as long as he can stay awake to do so. All three are particularly good at catching birds and mice, though Sir Arthur seems to be the winner of this category!

Bonsai spends most of his time outside- and he covers quite a large area. Coco and sir Arthur also love being outside but they are usually much closer to the house. They spend a good chunk of their time cuddling together on a bed or couch. Mostly sleeping.

I love cats and I am sure one day I will be an old cat lady!! They are very independent but also possess the charisma and affection that one usually prefers in a pet. I love dogs and we have two large dogs but my dogs just seem so depressed when there is no one to play with. The cats on the other hand are perfectly content to sit around all day with little to nothing to do. Perfect for me, as I am often too tired to play or too busy getting things done on my never ending to do list.

Sorry this is kind of long and rambling. But any chance I have to talk about my felines results in much of this!

BTW, I just posted a sketch link, in the art section; relating to cat cuteness triggering cataplexy.
