Experts Speak On "narcolepsy In The Classroom"

On Saturday February 9th from 2-4pm, the Washington DC Family Support Group will meet at Children's National Medical Center. Dr. Judith Owens, the Director of the Sleep Clinic at Children's, and Ms. Kathy Zeisel, an attorney at the DC Children's Law Center, will be speaking on identifying and meeting the needs of kids and teens with narcolepsy at school.  Topics will include the effects of narcolepsy on behavior and learning in the classroom, and accommodations useful in 504 and IEP plans.  This event is jointly sponsored by the Narcolepsy & Hypersomnia Support Group of the Greater Washington D.C. Area and Children's National Medical Center (see attached flier).   
 
On Saturday March 2nd from 2-4pm, the DC Family Support Group will meet with another expert on pediatric narcolepsy, with further details to be announced soon.
