Life In The Key Of Narcolepsy

2 posts in this topic

Try your hand at re-writing the lyrics to popular songs to make them about Narcolepsy!

Willie Nelson yearned to be On the Road Again, while PWN are more likely to be thinking about being "On the Bed Again!"

See how it was done for the 2009 NN Conference in Jacksonville and then try your hand at modifying the lyrics of your own favorite songs.

Post your creations here and join us for the Sing-A-Long at the hotel in Cleveland on Friday and Saturday nights!

I get a kick out of each day, then I question why care?

afraid of hell and the Jesus, I have scary night mares

Then I think I should end it, no one understands my plight,

Its Narcolepsy and I might give in, smoke some pot for the night,

I started feelin sleepy;

a'wake was a mission failed

The cataplexy happened next,

could be from laughter or just something elses

Thats why I don't like emotions; and I take all these drugs.

So the doctors give me more and more

I thought I heard them PRAY...

Welcome to the Hotel Narcolepskee...

Such a tiring state (Such a tiring state)

Make me alway late, Make me always late

I eat plenty of shrooms since kuzz I got that narcolepskeee.

My mind is confused and twisted, I don't havea lotta friends,

I got a pretty crummy life, that may just as well end...

But instead I embrace it, Cata Plex eeee

Some have when they laughing, having sex with me

So I take a prescription; (that is)

"least 3 grand a month"

Insurance is medicaid, So I asked my insurance, and they said it will be fine,

I still see pwns I've met conferences Looooong ago.

We all suffer the infliction, the only ones who know.

Wake me up in the middle of the night?

Just to hear them say...

Welcome to the Hotel Narcolepskee

Cataplexy face (Cataplexy face)

Love your plexy face

We're bearly getting by at the Hotel Narcolepsy

Check these bags on my eyes (bags under eyes)

So you realize...

How, I'm always feeling,

Like a worthless peice...

And she said "We are all just narcolepts here, try to find your peace"

And when I asked her to name hers,

They gathered in the street..

They toss and turn their restless legs

buty but they just can't get to SLEEP!

Last thing I remember, I already forgot

I had to find my cell and keys

Before I was out of pot...

"Relax, " said the night man,

"I can give you some weed... but

just remember you can only get high in this life,

(Hotel California) On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair

Warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air

Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light

My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim

I had to stop for the night

There she stood in the doorway;

I heard the mission bell

And I was thinking to myself,

"This could be Heaven or this could be Hell"

Then she lit up a candle and she showed me the way

There were voices down the corridor,

I thought I heard them say...

Welcome to the Hotel California

Such a lovely place (Such a lovely place)

Such a lovely face

Plenty of room at the Hotel California

Any time of year (Any time of year)

You can find it here

Her mind is Tiffany-twisted, she got the Mercedes bends

She got a lot of pretty, pretty boys she calls friends

How they dance in the courtyard, sweet summer sweat.

Some dance to remember, some dance to forget

So I called up the Captain,

"Please bring me my wine"

He said, "We haven't had that spirit here since nineteen sixty nine"

And still those voices are calling from far away,

Wake you up in the middle of the night

Just to hear them say...

Welcome to the Hotel California

Such a lovely place (Such a lovely place)

Such a lovely face

They livin' it up at the Hotel California

What a nice surprise (what a nice surprise)

Bring your alibis

Mirrors on the ceiling,

The pink champagne on ice

And she said "We are all just prisoners here, of our own device"

And in the master's chambers,

They gathered for the feast

They stab it with their steely knives,

But they just can't kill the beast

Last thing I remember, I was

Running for the door

I had to find the passage back

To the place I was before

"Relax, " said the night man,

"We are programmed to receive.

You can check-out any time you like,

But you can never leave! "
