Narcolepsy Breakthrough

Check this out!!! Exciting news!!!

Yup, exciting stuff. And here's one of the studies showing success in early onset treatment. Granted, some studies confirm it, and others find no benefit, so it's still undecided clinically. But it sure is promising for recent-onset narcolepsy and/or people with kids that worry about it in the family:

Personally, I believe that there are probably many causes for the symptoms identified as narcolepsy (especially without cataplexy), and probably everyone does not have auto-immune narcolepsy that is diagnosed with narcolepsy. But for those who do, I hope these results are confirmed, or better yet, the treatments continue to prove helpful. And maybe this study will encourage more doctors to discuss potential immunoglobulin treatment in recent onset cases.
