Anyone Been On Concerta & Adderall At The Same Time?

Ok the short of it is I was taking Concerta 54mg and methylpendidate 20mg 3 times a day. Wasnt cutting it. 3 times a day ritalin seems to only last around 3hrs at best.
So doc tried Provigil and methylpendidate. I soon discovered Provigil to be the 1st medication im allergic to.
So now this week he has me taking Concerta 54mg and generic adderall 20mg 3 times a day.
Its only been 2 full days now and although im under quite a bit of stress right now, moving and planning a large fundraising garage sale etc, ive found im extremely scatterbrained. I have trouble putting what i want to say into words and am embarrassing myself in conversation quite frequently.
Part of me feels awake but part of me still feels tired. Im waking up a lot at night but this could also be because I just got a new bed on thursday.
The first days I took it I stayed up unusually late surfing the web without being tired until like 12am/1am I NEVER stay up this late. But was still getting a good 8hrs sleep.
Last night i was up late like that (despite not taking the 3rd evening dose of the medication) but had to work early and only got like 6hrs of sleep and im very tired today.
Im having trouble discerning whats a side effect or whats stress.
I do feel like my heart beats faster and with the brain fog i almost feel like im walking around confused all the time, which is frustrating. Has anyone ever taken both of these medications at the same time?

I would take the higher dose Adderall on the days I really, truly needed to be "fully on" so to speak (as ON as a N can get I guess, or as I like to call it: as good as it gets) and then on the days where I have to be somewhat with the program but not fully on I will take the lower does Adderall. Then, on days (drug holidays) that I couldn't take the exhaustion I would take the lower dose Concerta. Of course, I try to do a drug holiday at least once a week, but sometimes it's just too painful to get through without anything at all and so occasionally I'll use the Concerta, but I really try to take a no med drug holiday one day per week. Not fun.
Anyway, my point: my doctor told me just today that I should not be taking the Concerta with the Adderall, especially since both of my particular scripts are for the time release versions. She originially wanted to have me stick with the high dose Adderall and then give me a script for immediate release, short-acting Adderall, but I talked my way out of that one; too much up and down and I don't want to have an inconsistent up and down; for me dialing in the spurts of upper is dangerous b/c of my bipolar disorder; it sounds good on paper, but I need absolute routine in my drug regimens or else it's not pretty.
Anyway, we decided that I'm going to stick with alternating the high and low dose Adderall along with my one day per week drug holiday. She was adamant that I stop using the Concerta with the Adderall, but like I said, both of mine were time release, so maybe it's different for other strengths/combos.
Give it a little more time, you may adjust soon enough. When I first went on high dose/time release Concerta I was a bit out of it and spacey as well for awhile, but eventually it worked well for quite a few years. Tolerance really kicked in around year 2.
