i joined this place the minute i came of the phone from my girlfrind, if she would have said nothing, i would have been none the wiser!!
What do you think about my mails to a doctor, what do you think the verdict would be, god i feel so tired
Thanks for the speedy response, I am based in (Kendal Cumbria), but can travel, my girl would do the drive, my sons live in Coventry and I will be coming to see them, so this is near to Leicester, or if you have a centre near to Kendal or the better
Maybe I could come see you; I pay, I just getting so paranoid with all this, and if I did have this narcolepsy at least then I would not panic as much when I get theses freezes when I fall asleep.
I am back in UK on the 8th Dec through to 28th

Dear Mr Taylor
You understand that I can not make diagnoses by email. However, your symptoms are compatible with a diagnosis of narcolepsy. You should not drive a motor vehicle with the symptoms you describe.
Where will you be based when you return to the UK?

Subject: My Problem sleeping
I never ever gave this a thought until the other day.
I fell asleep in my cabin, I work in Qatar 8 on 2 off, when I did fall asleep, I could see the room, so weird, I try to reach out, but nothing happens, its like I am froze, but I can see and hear everything, in the end I forced myself awake.
I did not think about it before, but I told my girlfriend last night, and Ric told me her friend has narcolepsy, and she thinks that I could have this problem.
This problem, has happened on numerous occasions, like when I was on a bus to work, I just fell asleep 15 mins from site, I could see everyone getting off the bus, but I was in the froze state, it was awful.
I tend to get tired during the days, and I can fall asleep within seconds.
This problem has been with me for the last 5 years or so, but to be honest, I thought these were was just bad dreams, until last night’s conversation with my Girlfriend.
It also sometimes happens when I wake up in the morning, if I have had a bad night’s sleep, sometimes I struggle during the night to sleep, that when I do finally go off is when I get these attacks, this scares me.
Also when I laugh really hard, my body feels like a electrical shock is running through it, this will last for about 15 -30 seconds this is also weird to me, luckily I have not fell with this, this has started to get worst, so I am going to try and not laugh as much.
I do get scared when I go in froze mode.
When I have been driving, its weird, not all the time, but sometimes, I going down the motorway, and think I do not remember how I got to a certain spot, can not explain that one, I was reading something on micro sleep
I did pass out years ago, and had a fall.
Few weeks ago, I left my cornflakes in the micro, I forgot where I had put them, that was within seconds, realized the day after
I do not tend to get to much tired during the day, I can do, but what normally happens with me, I always fall asleep during a movie, either at home or at the cinema, I once fell asleep, and my head was on this women’s shoulder, her boyfriend was at the side, but he thought is was quite funny
I need some advice on what to do.
I will be coming back to UK in a few weeks, so I will seek medical advice
Sorry to bother you on this
