It's easy to be "brave" in a zoo wink.gif (Notice the clipped right wing - poor guy!) But i did use a zoom as well.

The detail is rich enough that it seems as though Mr. Sam Eagle has had beak reconstruction. I am truly impressed with your skills.

This is not my pic. I found it in my parents' basement and I'm captivated by it. One of my father's friends took it. He's been a well known photographer for many an age. It was taken just after hurricane Camille hit the Gulf Coast. It is of an oak tree that was in our front yard. My father is in the picture and my sister is one of the girls in the tree.

Okay, I've got to add another by the same photographer of my parents and me. circa 1968,

Please no copyright infringement!!!!!!

I know that these aren't mine, but they're of my life. They are incredibly artistic, and they're too beautiful not to share. I have a few more of these old b&w's that I'd like to post, but let me know if I shouldn't.

thank you! it was on a little greek island called kea/tzia...it was part of an old ruined castle at the top of the mountain on which their capital city was located. i studied abroad in athens and traveled a lot...soooo many great places to take pictures--can't even put them into words!

I dont see a problem with it. as long as your not claiming them. If you happen to know the photoraphers name that would be cool. but if not... I wont harsh you on it.... I love the tree picture. LOVE IT.

Hello everyone! We're snowed in here in Portland, OR, so I went out yesterday and took some photos. I'm so sick of sitting around the house! I'm a big fan of photo blogs, so I tried to be as artistic as possible just for fun. Here are some of my favorites:

Attached File  Heron.JPG   307.58KB   9 downloads
I was using my boyfriend's fancy new Kodak camera that he uses to demo at work (he's a Kodak rep.) This was taken pretty close to my home...we have a lot of wetlands here. I was really far away from this bird (Heron?) but was able to zoom in to get a pretty great shot. To be honest, I couldn't even tell what I was taking a picture of when I shot it because the picture was kind of blurry. He says the camera was zooming in on the image that was on the chip, so that's why it's so pixelated. I think it turned out really well!

Attached File  LampPost_small.JPG   170.74KB   10 downloads
I should straighten this out a bit and use it on next year's Christmas cards. smile.gif

Attached File  SnowyBranch_small.JPG   234.79KB   9 downloads
I like how this tree is framed by the stairwell behind it.

I couldn't get my favorite pic to upload so I'll keep fiddling with it until it works. If I get bored and go out again, I'll upload more. Then you can have a White Christmas too! laugh.gif
Enjoy!

Ok I figured out my problem. I had to reduce them in size to 1000 pixels wide. I'm sure that's plenty big!

This is my absolute favorite. It makes a fantastic desktop background.

PRETTY! I hope it snows here this winter! We never get snow! And this year it is cold... the cold is not worth it if it doesn't snow! I am moving to the equator.
