Hello everyone! We're snowed in here in Portland, OR, so I went out yesterday and took some photos. I'm so sick of sitting around the house! I'm a big fan of photo blogs, so I tried to be as artistic as possible just for fun. Here are some of my favorites:

I was using my boyfriend's fancy new Kodak camera that he uses to demo at work (he's a Kodak rep.) This was taken pretty close to my home...we have a lot of wetlands here. I was really far away from this bird (Heron?) but was able to zoom in to get a pretty great shot. To be honest, I couldn't even tell what I was taking a picture of when I shot it because the picture was kind of blurry. He says the camera was zooming in on the image that was on the chip, so that's why it's so pixelated. I think it turned out really well!

I should straighten this out a bit and use it on next year's Christmas cards. :)

I like how this tree is framed by the stairwell behind it.

I couldn't get my favorite pic to upload so I'll keep fiddling with it until it works. If I get bored and go out again, I'll upload more. Then you can have a White Christmas too!

Enjoy!

Ok I figured out my problem. I had to reduce them in size to 1000 pixels wide. I'm sure that's plenty big!

This is my absolute favorite. It makes a fantastic desktop background.

These are the rest of my favorites. I think that's enough for now. :)

PRETTY! I hope it snows here this winter! We never get snow! And this year it is cold... the cold is not worth it if it doesn't snow! I am moving to the equator.

Neat! I like the candle one and "I Love Steven" is truly fascinating. I love photos that give really different perspectives. :)

yeah he was the best. i only had him about three years (adopted him from the toronto spca when he was six) but he was so great, we are going to get another one (form a pup this time) when we get a house (someday)

Yeah you have to have a house these days. Apartments won't rent to Dobie owners anymore because the insurance doesn't allow it. It's really sad. My dogs were the sweetest smartest dogs on the planet but we almost got evicted when our property was sold. Sadly I had to put one of them to sleep a couple of years ago, and the other last Spring, both for due to health issues. The last was before our lease was up, so we were able to stay. I still have the utmost contempt for the new owners, though. I can't wait to move.

Caught this dead chic off gaurd in a stairwell. I blew it up a couple times for ya if you need it. Not very artsy, but still wicked cool....

Oh heck ya a ghost photo. now that's what I'm talkin about. I used to be on a ghost hunting newsgroup 8 years ago. Fun stuff! I wish I could get the super creepy one my sister took of a house...it's on my old hard drive. If I can get it I'll post it. A million faces in the windows and lots of bad things happened to her after she took the photo (and it was hard to copy and transfer it too!) Lots of orbs in your photo too. I actually saw an orb in real life once...I always thought it was a trick of the digital camera but there was no camera that time. :o

This pic was taken in a old building in downtown Mansfield Ohio. I totally do the ghost hunting thing. It is awesome. Was supposed to go do a cafe here last November, but my partner in crime had to back out due to the fact her whole pregnancy thing got complicated. (she is fine now, screaming baby boy...) Any way we are hoping to get there in the spring of 09. Seeing how it was an old run down falling apart building, I dont put to much interest into the orbs. I could go on and on about orbs actually. I am not a fan except in rare instances like yours. I think I may have started a paranormal thread here while back? I'll have to look and see.... It is possible I have already posted these pics. lol... oh how I miss my memory sometimes!
