Definition:your Opinion Needed

In our lecture about rest and sleep this quarter, the textbook and lecture defined narcolepsy as: patient has irresistible desire to sleep and may fall asleep at inappropriate times, including ADLs (activities of daily living).
"Desire"?!? There is NOTHING desirable about a sleep attack!
I read that and started thinking to myself: *Oh yeah, I really long to flop my head back and take a quick snooze during this lecture in front of everyone here. Oh please, please let me lose consciousness during the commute home, it's all I live for. I just LOOOOVE falling asleep, it's wonderful. Lucky me!*
I am considering approaching the text editor with this one. "Urge" is a far more appropriate word. Anyone care to add to this before I give the textbook a piece of my (or our collective) mind?

Patient that has no control or choice when a sleep attack takes place, which can and will occur, at inappropirate times of the day and night.

I would say I find the attack on my self control, especially offensive.
Perhaps this is a good oppurtunity for you to develop psychological damage, and hire a lawyer! lol. Just kidding. They should at least send an apology letter to you though and promise to correct this mistake in the next edition. Let us know what happens!
Thanks for going to battle on behalf of all narcoleptics! You rock!
