There's an old man on a city bus Holding a candy cane
And it isn't even christmas
He see's a note in the obituary
That his last friend has died
There's an infant clinging
To his overweight mother in the cold
As they go to shop for cigarettes
And she spends her last dollar
On a bottle of vodka for tonight
And I guess it struck a nerve
Like I had to squint my eyes
You can never get out
Of the line of sight
Like a barren winter day
Or a patch of unburned green
Like a tragic real dream
I guess it struck a nerve
Every day I wander
In negative disposition
As I'm bombarded by superlatives
Realizing very well that I am not alone
Introverted
I look to tomorrow for salvation
But I'm thinking altruistically
And a wave of overwhelming doubt
Turns me to stone
And I guess it struck a nerve
Sent a murmur to my heart
We just haven't got time
To crack the maze
Like a magic speeding clock
Or a cancer in our cells
A collision in the dark
I guess it struck a nerve
I try to close my eyes
But I cannot ignore the stimuli
If theres a purpose for us all
It remains a secret to me
Don't ask me to justify my life

1) Find a video on YouTube.com
2) On the Youtube page that the video is on you'll see a text field that says EMBED. There will be some code in that field. Select all of it (Cntrl+A) and copy it (Cntr+C).
3) Start a on the world's greatest online community in the forum of your choice.
4) Wait...don't get all paste-happy. Not just yet anyway. Scroll down a little bit first until you see Post Opions. Select HTML ON - Auto Linrbreak Mode

5) Okay...NOW go ahead and paste the code you got from YouTube on to your post. That's it!

Cool, eh?

awesome lyrics I felt like sharing.....

Bad Religion
Stranger Than Fiction

Marked

if I'm a monster,
I am a willing one,
this roller coaster ride is an enticing one,
on the tip of a continuum flowing wavelike
through disorder carry me like a vessel to water

everything you see leaves a mark on your soul,
everything you feel leaves a mark on your soul,
everything you touch leaves a mark on your soul,
everything you make leaves a mark on your soul

if I can touch it,
I can destroy it,
if it's imaginable to some degree,
I can become it,
like a hungry turning vortex that just flickers to existence,
consuming bits and pieces until I'm finally extinguished

everyone you see leaves a mark on your soul,
everyone you bare leaves a mark on your soul,
everyone you touch leaves a mark on your soul,
everyone you love leaves a mark on your soul

everything you take leaves a mark on your soul,
everything you give leaves a mark on your soul,
and all the fear and loneliness that's impossible to control,
and every tear you cry leaves a mark on your soul

I first started listening to Bad Religion in the early 1990's when I was involved with college radio. At that point they had already been around for like 10 years, but I'd never heard them because they had such little commercial radio airplay.

Kinda like Rage Against the Machine.. not in the sound of the music of course, but in the readiness to take on social issues with lyrics that actually mean something. First time I'd ever heard music like that. I could never, ever pick a favorite..

This has been a very cool thread for me right now. Thanks.

LOL. I am your friend, but not on Playlist.com ! tongue.gif

I don't think I could remember or even write down one more user ID and password to save my life.. sounds like a cool site, though.
